As Goražde got the contours of an industrial city, there was a need to establish an institution that will monitor flows and produce staff that will meet the needs of the local community. That is how the Technical High School “Hasib Hadžović” was founded in 1961. Back in 1961, the chemical profession was formed, and since 1964, the first generation of mechanical technicians has been enrolled.
The first director of this institution, the school year 1961/1962. year, was Nicifor Nedeljkovic. At that time, this school was called the Chemical Technical School.
Today’s name, the Technical High School, was given in 1996, when it has been named after the prominent professor of mathematics and former director of this institution, Hasib Hadžović.
Professor Hasib Hadžović died during the war, and this school, in honor and memory of its professor, bears his name.
In the eighties, construction and traffic departments were formed at this institution.
During the war, due to the new situation and the need for health workers, more precisely on March 4, 1994. year at the Secondary Technical School opens a medical profession, profile nurse-technician.
During the war, the school suffered enormous damage, as did other institutions in the city. Thanks to donations from the Saudi High Commissariat, JEN, S.O.S. The Balkanes and UNESCO school was rehabilitated, but there was still a lack of equipment for classrooms, as well as other modern aids and books for the school library. Through the hard and diligent work of its workers, as well as many professors, this school continued to work during the war. At that time, classes for all high schools in Goražde took place in its premises.
World Technology Day April 17, at the Technical High School “Hasib Hadzovic” is marked as School Day.

So far, education has been provided for seven educational professions and twelve educational profiles. Many generations have passed through this school. Some have become engineers, others doctors, others work as successful technicians throughout our country, and beyond. We hope that the next generations, as well as the previous ones, will be able to use the knowledge they have acquired in this school and will contribute to the development of the country.
